Drain Raiders: A+
Art is the best. Who ever heard of a plumber with heart? Art is the man!
Frame of Mind: A+

Pete Noriega and Loren Starr are a full service team! They have taken our newly purchased home and transformed it
into a fully wheelchair accessible gem. They have a real sense of design, continuity and an eye for details. They've led the remodeling,
painting (interior and exterior) and landscaping of our home. We highly recommend them!
Greer Gardens: A+
1280 Goodpasture Island Road, Eugene, OR 97401
These 13 acres full of plants is heaven for the knowlegable and novice gardener alike. I (a novice) was get help and had Margaret and
Kirsten (?) help me pick out plants to landscape our half acre property. And, it was fun! They were full of patience and didn't flinch when
I asked what a perennial was. Be sure to bring an energy bar as you'll be led over their many acres to view their many species of maples,
rhododendrons, azeleas, magnolias, and more.
Sperry Tree Care: A+

Nathaniel rocks! He walked around our house with a running narration which
included the identification of all trees, shrubs and plants, what was wrong or right,
what he proposed he did, and what we could do to have a healthy coexistence with our vegetation.
He helped us deal with difficult problems and helped find solutions. When he says
satisfaction is guaranteed – he means it! He is knowledgeable about trees and a whole
host of other topics. He's the kind of guy you’d love to have over and chat for hours.
Restaurants
IHOP: C
355 E. Broadway
Summary: Food good, lacks cleanliness, poor accessibility, can be extremely slow depending on how busy they are (inexpensive). Open 24 hours.
Brail’s: A+
1689 Willamette Street, Eugene
Summary: Excellent food, great accessiblility and service (inexpensive)
The best "homestyle" breakfast we've found in Eugene. The egg and rice omelet is wonderful as are the biscuits, gravy and hashbrowns. Get
ready for a hearty and heart-felt "welcome" and "thank you" as you leave. There isn't a handicapped parking space that is van accessible.
The handicapped space that is available is against a curb.
King Estates: A
Reservations: 1-800-884-4441
Summary: Good food, service is good but sometimes with a bit of "attitude", ambiance is beautiful, great accessiblility and impressive (expensive).
The wine tastings are good, but one doesn't get to taste the better wines unless you join their Tower Club. While we found this a
bit strange and annoying, it was well worth it. A great place to take out of town visitors who like wine. While their chef had some connection with
Marche, we found that the food was not as good as Marche. Go there for ambiance.
Lucky Noodle: A-
207 E. 5th Ave., 541-484-4777
Summary: Excellent food, great service, interesting cocktails, accessibility is somewhat difficult.
We love the little sister of Ring of Fire! The Thai and other noodle dishes are delicious. The staff are cute, helpful and courteous.
In a wheelchair, one must take the
elevator up to the back of the dining room and wait for someone to notice you. From there, there are tables around this back door
that make movement to a table difficult. It can be done with a plethora of excuse me's and asking dinners to get up to let a
wheelchair pass.
Marche: A+
Fifth Street Market, 296 East Fifth Avenue Eugene, Oregon 97401, (541) 342-3612
Summary: Excellent food, ambiance and service (expensive), good accessibility.
We take all our out of town guests here for a nice dinner. We have never felt rushed. The staff are always congenial and will
converse - or not - taking your lead on this matter.
Ring of Fire: A
Corner of 11th & Chambers in Eugene, 541-344-6475
Summary: Great food, great service, interesting cocktails, great accessibility.
We love the Thai food here and love the options to make so many of the dishes vegetarian as well as to modulate the spice.
Sixth Street Grill: B-
55 W. Sixth St., Eugene, 541-485-2961
Summary: Food OK, attitude and accessibility are poor.
The menu is “OK”, nothing to get excited about. However, they are often packed and need a reservation to get in.
This seems to be true because they are across the street from the Hult Center. Because of the demand, they often have quite a
snobby attitude that is not warranted, given their menu, quality of
food and service. The accessibility is poor. Chair users have to enter through the bar and then traverse
the “restroom hall” in order to enter the dining room. There is a back door entrance to the dining room,
but because of the layout of parking, a chair cannot usually get through the door because of a car blocking access.
Once in the dining room, there are only a few tables that can accommodate a chair and these mean the chair is sticking out
into the path of service and patrons. Overall, we were NOT impressed.
Zenon Café: A-
898 Pearl St., Eugene, 541-343-3005
Summary: Food is very good, service is good but can be slow when busy (moderately priced), good accessibility.
It is nice that the menu changes so
often, but sometimes we feel that the
chef is experimenting a bit too much. The tables are a bit crowded for a wheelchair and requires some excuse me's and dinners having to
move to get to some tables.
Ye Olde Pancake House: ?
2421 W 11th Ave, Eugene, 541-344-7830
This Pancake House was recommended to us, so we were anxious to try it out.
When we tried to enter on a weekend around 11AM it was not accessible because
it was too crowded for the wheelchair. There seemed to be only 2 tables that could
accommodate a wheelchair. We will revisit again on a weekday, hoping it will be less crowded.
